March 2, 2009 - SGI graciously met with the directors of the STTA to discuss matters of concern in the transport training industry.  The meeting was very progressive as we had an opportunity to discuss instructor training, carrier profiles as related to our industry, test routes and a variety of other issues.  The STTA would like to thank Earl Cameron - Acting President & CEO, Sherry Wolf - Vice-President, Kwei Quaye - Assistant Vice-President  of Traffic Safety Services, Sandy Crighton - Manager of Driver Development & Safety Services, and Jamie DeGirolamo - Supervisor of Driver Development, all from SGI.  We look forward to hearing from you and to working with you in the future.

In December of 2008, the directors of the STTA had an opportunity to meet with  Minister Ken Cheveldayoff and Minister Don Morgan of the SaskParty.  This was a great opportunity to discuss ongoing issues in the truck driver training industry.  As a result of this meeting, the STTA was promised an opportunity to discuss matters further with SGI, the governing body of our industry.

The Saskatchewan Transport Training Association has started a provincial outreach program to assist with premium transport training in the smaller Saskatchewan centres.

Saskatchewan Transport Training Association launched its website to assist those interested in finding the highest quality transport training available in their region.

Saskatchewan Transport Training Association is currently constructing its first website.
